There has never been a single objection from my mouth when it comes to making hard rock heavier, and I’m sure as hell not gonna stop now that I’ve heard Diemonds’ upcoming third album “Never Wanna Die”. This whole album has a very catchy sound to it that is absolutely littered with all sorts of hooks that have a great feel to them with the female vocals that I did not see coming at all. I love them, though, because they work so goddamn well with the guitars that were very rhythmic and heavy as I’m sure you might’ve guessed by now. The drums also carried a fantastic beat throughout all of “Never Wanna Die” and that helped the album really flow as they are meant to. The theme of “Never Wanna Die” is also interesting as each song talks to a particular group of outcasts or basically anyone who’s out of the norm, and it earns my approval with how much the female vocals made it work without making it sound fake or she was trying too hard/enough. Overall, this is a solid album that has meaning to it without a doubt and it had somewhat of a rock ‘n’ roll feel to it, to me at least. I strongly recommend this album to anyone who’s a fan of hard rock, metal ‘n’ roll (yes, that’s a thing), or just want to hear something between metal and rock. And if you don’t qualify for any of those then at least check out the first track because in my opinion that’s the strongest track, and who knows what’ll happen?
