Judging by the cover alone, I think we can all agree that this is a step above your average run-of-the-mill black metal. Suffering’s “Chaosatanas” delves into the area if satanic black metal, but it’s not the most hardcore of the kind, and if you know what I’m talking about then you know that this album is not as “bad” as it could be. But “Chaosatanas” is an intense piece of work that leaves no one alive with its brutal intensity that never ceases for one moment in all of the songs. Everything from the vocals to the sound itself to the beat is made to be raw to the very core and as brutal as possible, and its done extremely well because even though I’m not a personal fan of the satanic elements, the black metal elements appealed to me a lot. So the combination of them seemed questionable at first, but my love for black metal outweighed the other and I found quite a bit to enjoy out of this album. And the same should go for any true black metal fans out there because “Chaosatanas” may have more than what you’re bargaining for, but it also has what you want in glorious excess.
