What’s not to like about a nice death metal EP with only two songs? Well, there’s the possibility of you not liking death metal at all, but that’s besides the point. Obduktion’s latest EP “Mors Janua Vitae” has, as you might have guessed by now, only two songs, but that doesn’t mean the quality is bad or those songs are just scraps that they just felt like throwing at us. Quite the contrary. Both tracks from the EP have great sound and feel to them that I found extremely enjoyable. As a death metal fan I was able to connect and dig these songs very easily and almost in an instant after I hit that play button. They are fast paced, unrelenting death metal songs that I’ve no doubt whatsoever in my mind that just about any fan out there can find at least one thing to love in this EP, and if not then listen to it again. And if that doesn’t work, listen to Obduktion’s previous work.
