Echo The Aftermath (self-titled)

a3915910245_10 While having the edgy sound that some of the musically-soft people would call metal, Echo The Aftermath does not fill the criteria for me to call them a full on metal band so I’m gonna go with hard rock, and hard rock is good nine times out of ten so there’s nothing wrong with this self-titled debut at all. The guitars are definitely those of hard rock because they have that feel of “heaviness” (put that in quotes ’cause some people would get mad if I called these guitars heavy) to them that has a really nice feel to them while also being kind to the ear drums and having a nice rhythm and sound to them the entire time. Same goes for the drums that have good pacing, come in at the right times, and does its job exceedingly well so thumbs up to the drummer there. And the vocals have a smooth sound that I imagine many, many, many rock fans out there are super familiar with so they won’t be straying into any unwanted unknown territory with Echo The Aftermath. They do a similar job as the the vocalist from Kyng does in that they both have a smooth sound over guitars that are on the border of hard rock and “soft” metal but bring balance that I imagine just about everyone out there can listen to any day of the week. And overall . . . thumbs up. Nice EP. Shows that Echo The Aftermath has taken to baby steps to becoming what could possibly be a really, really solid band.
